AcuMed USA, P.A. (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Contact form submissions: name, email address, phone number, and message content.
  • WooCommerce order data: billing name, shipping address, email address, phone number, and purchase history when you place an order through our online herbal pharmacy.
  • Account registration data (if you create a My Account profile): username and password (stored in hashed form).

We also collect standard technical data automatically: IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and cookies (see Section 5).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to appointment inquiries and contact form messages.
  • To process and fulfill online orders for herbal supplements.
  • To send transactional emails (order confirmation, shipping notice).
  • To send appointment reminders or follow-up communications (with your consent).
  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Payment Processing

Online orders are processed through PayPal (even if not currently the active payment method on checkout). PayPal is an independent payment processor and is governed by its own privacy policy, available at paypal.com/us/legalhub/privacy-full. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Our hosting provider (for site operation).
  • Payment processors (PayPal or other processors active at time of purchase).
  • Email service providers used to deliver transactional messages.
  • Law enforcement or regulators when required by law.

5. Cookies

We use cookies to maintain your session, remember cart contents (WooCommerce), and collect aggregate analytics data. You may disable cookies in your browser, but some site features may not function properly.

6. Data Retention

We retain order records for a minimum of 5 years to comply with applicable tax and healthcare record laws. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 2 years. You may request deletion of personal data not subject to a legal retention obligation.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data (subject to legal obligations); and opt out of marketing communications at any time.

8. Children

Our site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
